Live well. Dress well. Be well. ✨
Style, wellness & lifestyle inspiration for the modern woman.

Dear Black Girl,
It is time to run towards the sun instead of away from it. To applaud the deepening of our shade as the magic that only our skin can so easily do, rather than a punishment from the sun, meant to be avoided.
Check out the best sunscreens for dark skin.
Every day is Earth Day around here, but this day is a great opportunity for us to take a look at our consuming habits and see how they align with caring for our planet.
From our fashion decisions to the products we put on our skin, everything that we do has an impact on the Earth. Here are a few brands that are doing their part to sustainably produce products that help us reduce our footprint so that we can leave a better planet for the next generations without sacrificing quality.
Many women feel embarrassed about their bikini area because of bumps and hyperpigmentation caused by ingrown hair, but you are not alone. There are many ways you can treat, reduce the possibility of ingrown hairs, and keep them at bay. Here’s my professional advice after a decade of treating women’s skin.
Whether you’re in the market for a face cleanser and serum or a new lip gloss to obsess over, we’ve rounded up the best beauty brands to discover in 2022.
One of the most fun ways that I’ve been inspired to show off my creativity has been through my manicures. So if you’re like me and you like to keep a running mood board for nail looks, keep reading to find 10 of the best spring-worthy (and Pinterest-approved, let's be honest) nail trends below!
We get a peek into emotional zeitgeist when we look at our eye makeup choices. We’re dying for nostalgia — taking us back to the glitter of our childhood and the pastels we saw our favorite pop stars rocking in the early 2000’s. We’re all on a search for dewey wellness and a glow up that is both figurative and literal — making dewey eyelids a moment we’re collectively here for. And then there are the bursts of color, that no matter the outfit, are a proud claim to femininity and the acknowledgement of womanhood.
As women, skincare is either a total obsession for us or a complete afterthought. For me, it was always the latter. I was fortunate enough to never experience any real issues with my skin for most of my life. Besides the blemish or two that I would get around my monthly cycle, my skin was always pretty clear and I never really appreciated how amazing (and lucky) that was until recently. About two years ago, I experienced one of the most traumatic times of my life. I was in a relationship that took a toll on my physical body, my mental health, and my emotional state. I’ll spare you the juicy details, but it wasn’t until I removed myself from this toxic situation that I had to face the impact and all of the crud started to surface — with it’s greatest toll manifesting on my skin.
My love of skincare grew from my love of the women who raised me, our time together, and my love for making people feel good. Watching your face change everyday and knowing that you’re responsible for that glow is a beautiful journey and we all deserve to experience that — we just might need to be loved through it.
When these clips started to takeover our lives, and our hair, we had no choice but to track the start of this trend and hopefully, show you where to buy jeweled and oversized hair pins for yourself.
How to let Go
A lot has happened.
So much has changed since I first started my writing platform. The obvious transformation from The StylingSOUL (for those of you who have been following my journey for a while) to The Moné Edit is much deeper than a rebrand. It’s the tip of the iceberg of an evolution that I have been undergoing for the past few years.

Long before a nationwide quarantine caused us to prioritize comfort above all, I began to notice a generation of women that no longer cared to be one monolithic version of a bombshell. Brands began to cater to a woman that embraced her body beyond super model standards, and a new category has arrived. Somewhere between lingerie and loungewear, we’re seeing comfortable intimates designed to be both flaunted and cozy. Let’s call it “loungerie”.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate women through a conversation exploring the style, beauty, and life lessons that we’ve learned from our mothers.
My mother, Dr. Marcia Bailey, devoted her life to her children from the moment she discovered her first pregnancy at the age of 21. On this podcast episode, we discuss adjusting to motherhood, embracing beauty through all stages of life, and the importance of bouncing back from life’s hurdles.

Kristin & Kofi Essel — In Love, Creativity & Third Crown
Meet Kristin and Kofi Essel, the creators of Third Crown. When it comes to partnership in life and in hustle, this couple is #goals. I figured we could all learn from their journey through love, career, and creation. I caught up with them at a cafe in our shared home of Harlem to learn what makes them tick as individuals and the glue that holds them together.
There are two types of holiday shoppers—those that slowly shop all year long with loved ones in mind, and then there’s the rest of us, focusing on the week ahead of us until one day we look up and BOOM, it’s December 15th, and there is so much to be done.
If you’re a part of that latter group, you’re not alone. I’m here to help us welcome the holiday season, feeling joyful about the gifts we’re able to give others while also feeling good about the brands we support.
